New bidirectional analogue/Dante® audio matrix DRM-44
With the DRM-44, MONACOR presents a powerful bidirectional analogue/Dante® bridge that makes it considerably easier to integrate analogue audio equipment into IP-based networks. The compact unit combines high-quality signal conversion, integrated DSP functionality and flexible control options in a half-19″ housing and was developed specifically for professional installation environments where flexibility, audio quality and straightforward commissioning are what matter.
The DRM-44 has four balanced analogue inputs and four balanced analogue outputs, allowing seamless integration into Dante® and AES67-based networks. This makes the system particularly suitable for applications in which classic analogue audio equipment has to be connected to a modern audio-over-IP infrastructure. An integrated DSP provides extensive signal processing functions on all channels, including parametric equalisers, dynamics processing and delay functions. This is complemented by an 8×8 audio matrix that allows flexible routing and premixing between inputs and outputs.

Analogue meets Dante®
Particular attention was paid to ease of use: an integrated web server allows the system to be configured and controlled entirely from a browser, whatever device is used. That reduces installation effort and makes maintenance easier during operation. Alongside the integrated web control, the DRM-44 also offers extended integration options: GPI/GPO interfaces allow the unit to be tied into higher-level control systems or linked to external signals, for example in building automation.
The combination of high audio quality (signal-to-noise ratio > 120 dB, THD < 0.003 %), flexible power supply via PoE or a 24 V power unit and a compact form factor makes the DRM-44 a versatile solution for a wide range of sound applications — from conference rooms and hospitality through to educational institutions and venues.
