With more than 502,000 m2 of retail space spread over three floors and around 1,200 shops, the Dubai Mall (UAE) is one of the largest shopping centres in the world. Some 65 million people come there every year to shop, to eat and drink in the many restaurants and cafés, to go ice skating — even to ride the carousel.
Requirement
For the “Huqqa / The Market” restaurant based there, a flexible and dependable sound system was sought — one that can be used in many ways and meets the most varied musical demands. Levels FZ LLC, MONACOR INTERNATIONAL’s partner in the United Arab Emirates, won the customer over with a live demonstration of the MONACOR MOVE series: the high sound quality and excellent performance of these professional PA speakers convinced all round and marked the start of the project. The chosen components made it possible to put together an audio solution from a single source.
During planning, particular care was taken to ensure that the sound offers consistent audio quality wherever you are in the restaurant.
Solution
The sound system installed in the “Huqqa / The Market” restaurant plays background music of impeccable quality and, late in the evening, delivers ample power for events and live broadcasts of sports. Together with the amplifiers STA-1000, STA-600, STA-225 and STA-1506, every space can be covered professionally. Pleasant background music in the restaurant comes from 12 discreet ceiling speakers and 6 modern 2-way wall speakers. The two speaker series are complemented by a 100 V subwoofer and by the amplifiers PA-4240 and PA-900.
